Trusting your intuition: Is that a sign from Spirit?

Stop and take a listen to the space around you. Is it noisy? Is your mind chattering?
It is between the noise where intuition sits. Have you ever had a sudden feeling, a gut instinct, or even a sign that left you wondering if it was important? Mabe these moments are coincidences or, are they messages from a higher power—the spirit world. Trusting your intuition can be a pathway to understanding these signs. Let’s have a look at recognizing and interpreting these messages that may be coming from spirit.
Understanding Intuition
Intuition is more than just a hunch; it's an instinct that exists within every one of us. It might be a gut feeling, a tingle on the body, or goose bumps. Intuition is awesome as can serve as our internal GPS, guiding us toward the right decisions and pathways in life. Intuition is not only about logical reasoning; it often comes from a subconscious understanding of circumstances.
Intuition can also serve as a bridge to the spiritual world. When we quiet our minds, listen and feel closely to our etheric space, we allow ourselves to receive messages from spirit, guides, and even our souls. Connection is urging us to pay attention.
Signs from the Spirit World
Signs from spirit can vary significantly from person to person. Here are some common manifestations of messages:
Dreams: Many people report dreams that feel more real than daily life. These vivid dreams may offer insights. Frightful dreams may be your body and mind expelling the stress of thoughts and situations. Vivid dreams of loved ones who are in spirit, may be a visitation from them. When your mind turns off, like it does in sleep, this allows those loved ones to connect with you. Keeping a dream journal is helpful to decode the significance of dreams.
Repeated Numbers: Seeing specific numbers frequently, like 1111, 222, or 88, is considered a message from your soul or from spirit. These numbers can serve as reminders that your path or affirmations, are on the right track.
Nature Signals: Birds, butterflies, or even the wind can serve as messengers. If you’re experiencing emotional turmoil and suddenly have a butterfly land nearby or notice a flock of birds, realize that it is a nudge from the spirit world. And as I sit here and write this, a robin, who looks quite chunky and round, has stopped at my window to look at me for a few moments and then scooters away down the fence. It is time for me to walk the dogs, and my dad would say this, rather than, commenting on my chunky round figure! LOL! Spirit are so clever.
Physical Sensations: Sometimes spirit can manifest through physical sensations, such as tingling or chills. This may occur during moments of insight or when you’re contemplating big decisions. The body can respond when it recognizes spiritual energy.
Synchronicities: Have you thought that something was just a coincidence? Or someone siad that you are just lucky? There are synchronicities that feel too meaningful to just be a coincidence. For example, thinking about an old friend and then they call, or you bump into them at the store. Or randomly hearing a song and remembering that you danced with Grandpa Joe, who is now in spirit, at your cousin's wedding with him. These might indicate that you are now able to 'listen' with your spiritual ears.

Recognizing Your Intuitive Signals
Being aware of the signs is only one part of the equation; actively tuning into your intuition is critical. Here are some strategies to help you recognize and trust your intuitive signals:
Meditation: Regular meditation practices can calm the mind and enhance intuition. Even a few minutes a day spent in silence can create space for spirit messages to surface.
Journaling: Write about your feelings, dreams, and emotions. You may see patterns and recurring messages which are often linked to divine guidance.
Mindfulness (I hate this word): I'm sure you have heard this word coined by many in the self-help inDUSTry. We don't want you to connect to your intuition from your chattery, heavy mind. Full minds are useless when it comes to connecting to your intuition. Rather, be present in the moment, which means not looking at yesterday or tomorrow, but here and now.
Trust Your Gut: Pay attention to your feelings and physical reactions in different situations. Trust that your intuition can guide you, but you must listen and then trust.
Creating a Connection with the Spirit World
Developing a relationship with the spirit world requires openness and intention. Here are some suggestions to strengthen this bond:
Set Intentions: At the beginning of your day and during meditation, set clear intentions to connect with your intuition and welcome guidance.
Ask Questions: While in meditation, don’t hesitate to engage with your guide in spirit by asking specific questions. Once asked, remain open to any signs or answers that may surface.
Be Patient: Developing your intuition is a journey filled with exploration. Trust that spirit communicates in various ways and that with regular practice, you will come to understand these languages.
